Pains are well soothed by analgesics.<\/p>\n<p>Ecchymosis (bruises) are classical and subside within 2 to 3 weeks after the operation. An oedema (swelling) is constant and of variable duration, gradually subsiding within a few months.<\/p>\n<p>In classical forms, a shower with a soft soap is possible the day following the operation.<\/p>\n<p>In severe forms, the surgical dressing shall not be removed or wet until your appointment planned five days after the operation with Dr. Petit. During the appointment, the dressing will be removed in order to appreciate the engraftment of your areolae. Then, local nursing care will start for 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>The wearing of a compression bolero is recommended during 1 month in order to reduce the post-operative \u0153dema.<\/p>\n<p>The resumption of daily activities is possible the day following the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>The resumption of professional activities is possible from 1 to 2 weeks following the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>The resumption of sports activities can be done within 4 to 6 weeks following the operation.<br \/>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;box__item_ancre&#8221; el_id=&#8221;procedure-risks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Procedure risks<\/h2>\n<p>The complications of gynaecomastia surgery are weak and will be mentioned by Dr. Petit during the consultation.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;box__item_ancre&#8221; el_id=&#8221;main-risks&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Main risks are the following<\/h2>\n<p>In the first hours following the surgery:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A haematoma (blood pooling), a rare complication requiring a revisionary process in order to drain it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the post-operative month:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Healing problems.<\/li>\n<li>A seroma (collection of fluid), requiring a drainage in consultation.<\/li>\n<li>Transitory troubles of skin sensitivity.<\/li>\n<li>An infection, a cutaneous necrosis: rare complications.<\/li>\n<li>Partial areolar engraftment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the long term:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A scar expansion (of the sub-pectoral scar in severe forms).<\/li>\n<li>A pathological scarring (hypertrophic scars or keloids).<\/li>\n<li>A poor achievement requiring a secondary surgical revision.<\/li>\n<li>A loss of sensitivity and pigmentation disorders (in severe forms, relating to the graft of the areolae).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;box__item_ancre&#8221; el_id=&#8221;long-term-result&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Long-term result<\/h2>\n<p>The final result of a gynaecomastia cure is obtained between 3 to 6 months after the procedure, when the post-operative oedema has disappeared.<\/p>\n<p>The final aspect of your scars is not predictable and will be known at the end of the scarring maturation (between 1 and 2 years after the procedure).
